Prime Video has unveiled the first images from ENFRENTADOS: MARFIL, its upcoming Spanish Original film based on Mercedes Ron’s bestselling Enfrentados duology, comprising the novels Marfil and Ébano. ENFRENTADOS: MARFIL will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide in 2026.
The films star Ester Expósito (Venus) and Hugo Diego García (The Substance) as Marfil and Sebastián, respectively. The cast also includes Eric Masip (Through My Window) as Iván, Pablo Molinero (A Private Affair) as Alejandro, Zoe Bonafonte (El 47) as Gabriela, Lluís Homar (Broken Embraces) as Logan and Joaquín Ferreira (Club de Cuervos) as Ray.
Marfil Cortés, the daughter of a powerful Spanish businessman, sees her seemingly perfect life in New York turned upside down when she is suddenly kidnapped and released without explanation. Her father subsequently hires the enigmatic Sebastián Moore as her bodyguard.
Forced to spend every minute together, they initially clash over her untamable spirit and his guarded nature, but an undeniable attraction soon develops between them. When they return to Spain and the threats against Marfil intensify, they must navigate a world in which no one is who they claim to be and nothing is what it seems.
ENFRENTADOS: MARFIL and ENFRENTADOS: ÉBANO are produced by Pokeepsie Films, part of Banijay Iberia, whose credits include Veneciafrenia, 30 monedas and El bar. Álex de la Iglesia and Carolina Bang serve as producers, Óscar Pedraza (Patria, Vivir sin permiso) directs, and Sofía Cuenca (Culpa tuya, Culpa nuestra) wrote the screenplay.
The two films mark the third collaboration between Prime Video and bestselling author Mercedes Ron, following the adaptations of her popular Culpables trilogy and Dímelo bajito. ENFRENTADOS: MARFIL will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in 2026 as part of a Prime membership.
