ABOUT SANTUARIO
In the future, following a climate disaster, women spend their pregnancies inside the Sanctuary, an enormous dome designed to prevent air pollution from affecting gestation.
There, they live in peace, cared for and protected, away from their families and the rest of society. Or at least that is what they have always been told. The arrival of Pilar at the facility will expose the truth hidden within the Sanctuary.
The Lead Characters of Santuario
Aura Garrido as Valle
Valle is a brilliant artificial intelligence engineer with a deeply humanistic understanding of technology. Above all, she is an idealist who fights against social injustice and believes that artificial intelligence has the potential to improve people’s lives. The government, however, prohibits all experimentation involving this technology. When Valle is offered a position at the government-funded Sanctuary, she eventually accepts despite the profound ethical and moral conflicts the decision raises.
Lucía Guerrero as Pilar
Pilar arrives at the Sanctuary three months pregnant, but it does not take long for everything around her to begin feeling strange.
She finds the explanations she is given about how the facility operates increasingly difficult to believe. At the same time, she begins experiencing memory problems and confusing the past with the present. A series of disturbing events leads her to suspect that she may have been inside the Sanctuary before.
