The Culpables trilogy has reached a new milestone on Prime Video. Nearly three years after the premiere of Culpa Mía, all three films produced by Pokeepsie Films have simultaneously returned to the platform’s global most-watched rankings. It is a remarkable achievement for a completed franchise, which has also taken the top three positions in the ranking of non-English-language Original films.
According to rankings published by Prime Video through its official channels, Culpa Nuestra, Culpa Tuya and Culpa Míaoccupy three of the top five positions in the platform’s global movie ranking. At the same time, the trilogy leads the Top 10 ranking of non-English-language Original films. This double recognition confirms the international reach of a franchise created and produced in Spain.
The film adaptation of Mercedes Ron’s Culpables trilogy, directed by Domingo González and produced by Pokeepsie Films, began with the premiere of Culpa Mía in 2023. Since then, the three films have reached more than 100 million viewers worldwide. Each installment reached number one in more than 170 countries during its respective launch, while more than 90% of the audience came from outside Spain. These figures place Culpables among Prime Video’s most successful international franchises.
The trilogy’s return to the rankings coincides with the release of new international adaptations from Mercedes Ron’s literary universe, which have once again drawn attention to the original saga.
This latest recognition for Culpables also comes at a key moment for Pokeepsie Films. On September 9, Prime Video will premiere Enfrentados: Marfil, an adaptation of the first novel in Mercedes Ron’s duology of the same name. Following the international success of the Culpables trilogy, the film will be Pokeepsie Films’ next project based on the author’s work.

To all of our culpables:
Thank you, endlessly. Thank you for being with Nick and Noah from the very beginning, and for laughing, suffering, falling in love and growing alongside them. You have taken these films further than we ever imagined. Every one of these achievements belongs to you, too. Thank you for making Culpables so much more than a trilogy.
